As announced by the federal police of Helmut Schmidt Airport, at around 8.30 in the morning, a 50-year-old Bulgarian arrived at the exit control. While checking his personal information, police officers discovered that there was an arrest warrant for him.
The gambler did not have enough money with him
He had organized an unauthorized gambling event in Duisburg (North Rhine-Westphalia) and was therefore fined 2,550 euros, which he did not pay. Now, since he only had 1,250 euros with him, he was being threatened with 150 days in prison as an alternative.
