This time, as every year, we went to Malta to visit one of the largest iGaming fairs in Europe. SiGMA Europe has now become a fixture in the annual event programme, outgrowing its former venue as its popularity grows. The new location is now the Mediterranean Maritime Center (MMH), located directly at the port in Marsa; Not only is there significantly more space available here, but visitors can also check out a yacht or two.

As in previous years, the AIBC (Artificial Intelligence Blockchain and Cryptocurrency) Europe and SiGMA Affiliates Summit in Malta, one of the world’s leading blockchain and emerging technology events, took place parallel to SiGMA Europe.

While it had been raining for weeks in Germany, Malta lived up to its name as the “sunny island” (about 300 days of sunshine a year) and you were able to attend a VIP golf tournament in fine weather just the day before the opening. Take a guided tour or attend one of the first workshops at SiGMA Europe Valletta. The day ended with the SiGMA Awards presentation and VIP dinner.

After the official opening on the first day, the fair and conference program started. The annual SiGMA/SiGMA Affiliates Kickoff Presentation took place over lunch, and a variety of iGathering dinners in the evening offered many networking opportunities. Those who prefer excitement can also participate in a high-stakes poker tournament at Portomaso Casino. The second day was all about the accompanying program: the evening SiGMA party and Centurion MMA Fighting in Gianpula Village. On the third day of SiGMA Europe, people once again had the opportunity to expand their connections through a variety of networking drinks and dinners.

This year too, there was something for everyone, although there was a greater emphasis on meetups and networking events across a wide range of topics. The program surrounding SiGMA Europe has also been significantly expanded and physical health is also well maintained, especially with a food court and various street food stands set up at MMH.

All in all, SiGMA Europe was a really good event and we are already looking forward to next year.
